a great place with real style and good staff.
sslightly on the expensive side - but this is New York
Loved the unique design of the lobby, restaurant, and room. The maritime theme blended with Chelsea modern was fun. WiFi everywhere, fantastic Italian/Sicilian food. Delicious yet affordable. Very personable staff.
The customer service was excellentt, everyone was very kind and always greeted even when we came back late in the night. I loved the complimentary toiletry items and fashion/"what's happening now" magazines. The whole look and feel of a nautical hotel seemed close to a modern luxury yacht in the middle of Chelsea. Our view was on the 7th floor, so we had pretty good views and the large nautical window felt like the room was even larger. Though I shared beds with my girl friend, the hotel would be perfect and romantic with a significant other as well ;) I loved the bathrooms!! The shower was just a delight. This place is located just a bit away from all the expensive and busy hotels around times square, it was nice to stay at a place where NY offers little gems of local stores and restaurants. The 24Hr parking is directly in front of the hotel entrance which is a big plus!
The TV was a bit small for the room but its ok since that'll make us want to venture out anyways. Living in an urban environment most of my life, the sounds of taxis and cars honking at each other, sirens, and the busy city in general didn't bother me. Though the window is meant to block out a huge majority of the sound, we were also fortunate to be on the upper floors. The entrance to the hotel is first greeted with stairs. Though you do receive assistance with your luggage, it would be nice to not have to not go through a flight of stairs upon entering.
Comfrotable, beautifully designed room.
Common areas oppressively dark.
It was way too old and dark.
The staff are very welcoming and happy to assist in any way. Very happy to allow me to extend my check out on final day to 2 pm without any additional charge Room very clean and well appointed Extensive mini bar offerings The location is fantastic. I have always stayed mid town during previous trips to NY and found the Meatpacking district and easy access to the highline fantastic Great restaurants and shopping within an easy walk
-Cleanliness of room -Awesome staff who worked with me on my specific needs
-Bed was too short -In room lighting could be better -Changing channels on the TV has a large lag in between button presses
Everything. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. I was able to check in early the day of my arrival. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom had excellent shower.
The lobby and floor rooms were dark. But the windows in the rooms were very bright.
The staff was extremelt attentive.
Really wonderful location walking distance to Fabulous shopping and galleries. Amazing restaurants in the horel and night life. I loved the nautical theme, complete with port holes! Downside is that the music in nearby club resonates, But earplugs are provided on bedside table.
room facilities exceptional location is great
The lobby is beautiful and the food (from La Bottega) great. The location cannot be beaten!
Our room was tiny but not unusual for New York. The bed was quite hard.
location. Ideal for shopping & restaurants in the Meat-Packing District
Friendly staff and clean, comfortable room
not having coffee machine in room
It may have been the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The room, however, was quite small, very European.
